Già premiato per più lavori creati nel corso di una ricca carriera letteraria, nel 2008, Bahā’ Ṭāhir (n. 1935) viene anche insignito del premio IPAF (Arabic Booker) per il suo sesto romanzo, Wāḥat al-ġurūb (L’oasi del tramonto), in cui si occupa di diverse tematiche nell’ambito di un intreccio complesso che si snoda in un’ambientazione decisamente suggestiva.
