(Social malaise and the exasperated individualism in the collection of short stories al-Sāqiṭah by the Syrian writer Hayfāʼ Bīṭār) in La rivista di Arablit, a. I, n. 2, dicembre 2011, pp. 7-20. The recent Arab Spring was anticipated by many contemporary writers who related human exasperation inside their societies through their works.
