Vincitore dell’International Prize for Arabic Fiction (IPAF) 2013, Sāq al-bāmbū è il secondo romanzo del giovane scrittore kuwaitiano Sa‘ūd al-San‘ūsī. Con questo premio il Kuwait si è imposto con forza sulla scena del romanzo arabo contemporaneo, scena di cui fino ad adesso è stato ai margini, nonostante nel Paese non manchino romanzieri di spicco, come Ismā‘īl Fahd Ismā‘īl, Laylà al-‘Uṯmān o Ṭālib al-Rifā‘ī, solo per citarne alcuni. Prima di Sāq al-bāmbū, al-San‘ūsī aveva scritto articoli e racconti per varie riviste kuwaitiane e nel 2010 aveva pubblicato il suo primo romanzo, Saǧīn al-marāyā (Il prigioniero degli specchi) [...]
