Razān Naʽīm al-Maġribī’s Nisā’ al-Rīḥ stands out among other recent Libyan novels for its relevance to the present. The authoress intertwines different stories of women, thus offering a cross-section analysis of Libyan society and its problems, from domestic corruption to emigration abroad, moreover pushing the reader to reflect about and sympathize with her heroines.
