This article introduces Fāḍil al-Ǧa‘āybī’s Yaḥyà Ya‘īš (Yaḥyà Ya‘īš/Yaḥyà lives), considered by many as a forewarning of the “Arab Spring” which started with the 2010 Tunisian uprising.
