Tending to claim the entire legacy of resistance against Israel in Lebanon, Ḥizb Allāh’s media production is centered precisely on resistance. For the party investing in “resistance” is not only a way to gain legitimacy before its public as well as nationwide, but also to consolidate followers’ sociability. In this article, I analyze Ḥizb Allāh’s media production in order to show how its main function is to wield the irrefutable proof of the victory achieved by the party, the latter becoming the actor of an almost absolute liberation, and thus to give evidence of Ḥizb Allāh’s efficiency and determination.
